There are only a handful of so-called major currencies in the world, including the US Dollar (USD), the Euro (EUR) and pound sterling (GBP). Of these, the USD is the most dominant, making up around 64% of all central bank foreign exchange reserves across the globe.
When you think of the highest currencies of the world, you would think of the US Dollar or British Pound or Euro, but you are in for a surprise. The most expensive currencies  are none of the mentioned ones, and they don’t always belong to the wealthiest nations of the world. The ‘Highest Currency’ is based on the high value of them when exchanged to INR.
Kuwaiti Dinar The highest currency of the world is none other than Kuwaiti Dinar or KWD. The currency code for Dinars is KWD. Kuwaiti Dinar is the most expensive fiat currency and it worths 3.30 Us Dollars in current exchange rate. There is actually a simple reason why it is the most valuable fiat currency lets take a look.
The most popular Kuwait Dinar exchange rate is the INR to KWD rate. Indian expat community is very strong in Kuwait, hence the reason for being a popular currency pair. Kuwaiti Dinar has been the highest currency of the world for a while now because of the oil rich country’s economic stability.
As you all know Kuwait is world's one of the biggest petrol producers and they sell it to entire world with one condition . What do you think about that condition ? You guessed it right. They say you can only buy my petrol with my own currency , we don't accept euro or dollars . What is potential buyers doing in this circumstances ? Obviously they buy millions of billions of Kuwaiti Dinar , therefore kuwaiti dinar stays in the country and they profit from their sales through foreign currency and with this method they also own a huge foreign currency rezerve , profit in both ways.
By refusing to accept Euros, Dollars or any other international currency, buyers are forced to invest billions in the Kuwaiti Dinar on an annual basis. Not only does this continued demand sustain the high price of the currency, but the capital also remains in the country as it’s reinvested in a domestic product.
In this respect, Kuwait benefits in more ways than one from the considerable strength of the Dinar, while there’s no doubting the pivotal role that the currency plays in the nation’s economic growth. That is a smart way to protect the value of the money.
